The Skills
Since day one, the words beneath the Three Sixty logo have read:
With you for the journey.
Today, we work with organisations ranging from ambitious SMEs to established PLCs across a diverse range of sectors. Our team includes engineers, planners, designers, marketers, business owners and bid professionals.
It isn't a marketing slogan – it's the philosophy the business was built on.
We've always believed that successful bidding is about far more than producing great submissions. It's about building relationships, sharing knowledge, creating opportunities and helping people achieve things they couldn't achieve alone. The bid may be the immediate objective, but it's rarely the whole story.
Most importantly, we believe people do their best work when they are:
Trusted, supported and able to focus on what matters for them and our clients
Andrew Loughlin
Andrew has always been fascinated by how things fit together. Projects, people, businesses and ideas. A civil engineer by background, his 22 year career has taken him through engineering design, site engineering and management, bidding across multiple sectors and now business ownership, giving him a broad understanding of the factors that influence successful outcomes. He often jokes that the journey has given him a "particular set of skills", but in reality it has given him something more valuable, perspective, and guess what – the whole team has that!
At his core, Andrew believes that good work comes from good relationships. Throughout his career he has seen first-hand how trust, familiarity and shared understanding can transform both the quality of an outcome and the experience of getting there. That's why Three Sixty was built around long-term partnerships, helping clients pursue opportunities more effectively, more consistently and with greater confidence over time, but most importantly driving efficiency for those that invest in us, our true partners.
Pamela Polk
Mechanical engineer by background and naturally curious by nature, Pamela has spent her career asking questions, solving problems and understanding how things work. From live project environments and commissioning activities through to estimating, business ownership and bid strategy, each chapter has added another layer to her understanding of what makes projects successful.
Working alongside contractors, project managers, commissioning engineers and commercial teams has given Pamela a practical appreciation of the challenges that influence delivery. She understands that behind every programme, budget and specification are real people trying to make good decisions, manage risk and achieve the best possible outcome. That blend of engineering, commercial and operational experience helps Pamela turn complex information into clear, structured and compelling responses that remain focused on client priorities and easy for evaluators to understand, score and trust.
John
If John’s not working on a bid, there’s a fair chance he’s looking for a lift to the nearest hill or mountain. With more than 20 years’ experience in bid management and bid writing, John has supported organisations of all sizes across infrastructure, construction, transport and engineering. Backed by a civil engineering background and experience with SMEs, major contractors and international consultancies, he brings a practical understanding of the technical and commercial factors that shape successful submissions.
John’s real strength lies in bringing people together around a common objective. Whether facilitating solution development, shaping bid strategy or developing responses, he helps technical experts, operational teams and senior stakeholders turn good information into a clear, benefit-led story. Calm, pragmatic and detail-focused, John understands that strong bids are not about ticking boxes. They are about helping evaluators understand why a solution matters, why it will work and why they can trust the team delivering it.
Sharon Conway
Great design isn’t about making things look nice. It’s about helping people understand. Over the years, Sharon has worked with businesses of all sizes, supporting bid teams, marketing functions and leadership teams to communicate more effectively. While many people know Sharon for her design capability, her experience extends far beyond document production. Having worked within competitive tender environments as both a proposal professional and designer, she understands the anatomy of a successful submission, the pressure of bid deadlines and the importance of presenting information in a way that supports both compliance and evaluation.
That experience allows Sharon to contribute far more than visual design. Whether she is supporting bid strategy, developing marketing collateral, producing case studies, creating presentations or designing brand assets, she understands the purpose behind what is being produced and the audience it needs to reach. For clients, that means clearer messages, stronger presentation and work that feels authentic, engaging and memorable.
Dave Thorpe
Experience teaches you what happened. Dave helps you understand what happens next. With a career spanning more than four decades, Dave has worked across major civil engineering projects, large building schemes, complex M&E services, planning, bid management and project management. That breadth of experience allows him to look beyond individual activities and understand how the many moving parts of a project come together to create a successful outcome.
Planning has always been at the heart of Dave’s career, but his real strength lies in understanding what sits behind the programme. Construction methodology, buildability, sequencing, risk and delivery strategy all form part of the bigger picture. Having worked on some of the UK’s most significant infrastructure and construction projects, he brings a calm, measured perspective shaped by years of practical experience. For clients, Dave provides more than a programme. He provides confidence that the plan will stand up to scrutiny and work in the real world.
James Cadman
James works with organisations to improve how they approach bidding, helping teams think more clearly, write more effectively and perform with greater confidence. With a career focused on bid management, writing and training, James has supported organisations across the public and private sectors to strengthen both their submissions and their internal capability. His experience spans hands-on bid delivery through to developing teams and individuals, helping embed the behaviours, confidence and skills needed to succeed consistently.
What clients value most is James’ ability to cut through complexity. His calm, pragmatic style helps teams focus on what matters, translating ideas into messages that evaluators can understand and score. Whether coaching writers, delivering training or facilitating workshops, he brings structure, energy and a genuine commitment to helping others improve. At the heart of his approach is a belief that better bids come from more confident people, creating improvements that extend beyond a single opportunity.
Jake Murray
Jake has always been drawn to things that are meant to make sense but somehow don't; services, systems, organisations, jazz music. His career has taken him from creative direction in brand and marketing agencies into the tangled, high-stakes world of the public sector service design. Jake understands that good design is about finding the balance between what is doable, what customers need, and what businesses want.
He takes great interest in looking back, rather than chasing what's next. He's drawn to what hasn't changed: the ideas that have held up rather than the ones that simply moved fastest. It's an instinct he traces back to the old guard of advertising: the likes of Bernbach, and Ogilvy. And to systems thinkers like Donella Meadows and Russell Ackoff, who understood that it's the interconnections, not the elements, that really matter. That same instinct shapes how he approaches systemic design: looking past the immediate fix to the wider structure.
He also has cats.
